With rising costs and growing frustration among lifelong Disney fans, some may rethink a Disney World vacation in 2025.

At the recent Annual Shareholder Meeting on March 20th, Disney CEO Bob Iger commented on the company’s plans to address attendance and price increases in the theme parks, stating that he was just at Disney World on a weekday in March, and it was rather busy across the property. Iger continued to say that consumer demand for the parks and resorts is still extremely high, and so is the value Disney offers — noting that it’s “tremendous,” especially when compared to other entertainment offerings like concerts and sporting events. Still, with new tariffs and fears about the stock market, Disney World could look a little less crowded this year. Despite Iger’s confidence in theme park attendance, there’s one big reason Disney World might be empty in 2025.
Today will be great — and it’s all because the 2025 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival has begun!
This year’s festival runs from March 5th through June 2nd, 2025, and this year marks the 30th Anniversary of this beloved event! We’re making our way around the festival, checking out all the incredible topiaries, entertainment, merchandise, and of course — food! But, oddly enough, we’re not the only ones who decided to show up to the first day of the festival — who would have thought?!
When you’re in Disney World, you’re there along with TONS of other families and groups also trying to have a magical vacation.
That means that you’ll come in contact with strangers in lines, around restaurants, or just while you’re walking around, and sometimes you’ll hear them say some…interesting things. Whether that’s because you hear the middle of a conversation or you hear a whole conversation that has you scratching your head, we’ve overheard some interesting things in Magic Kingdom that we feel we have to share. It’s Christmas time in Disney World!
Christmas tree in Magic Kingdom
It’s no secret that the crowds flock to Disney World during this time of year. The decorations, special snacks, and after hours events are hard to resist so we get it. How does Christmas Day compare to the entire holiday season? Let’s check out how the parks are looking!
We LOVE visiting each and every single Disney Park…but one, in particular, has tested our patience over the years.
For many, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the BEST theme park at Walt Disney World. It’s got some of Disney World’s most innovative attractions and lots of fun entertainment, so the sentiment makes plenty of sense. We really do enjoy visiting Hollywood Studios…most of the time. There are times, however, when this Hollywood-themed theme park is too cringey to handle.
This weekend is going to be a BUSY one at Magic Kingdom!
Main Street U.S.A. Train Station
It can be tough to predict how busy a Disney World theme park will be on any given day, but there are a few indicators that the experts know to watch for. For example, holidays or days when many people have work and school off are almost always very busy. Also, if park passes are sold out for Annual Passholders and other select ticket holders, you know that lots of people are planning to visit the parks. On one day this week, both of those are true! There are quite a few times when you’ll want to avoid Disney World if you’re averse to crowds!
There are some obvious answers, including major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, as well as holiday weekends, Spring Break season, and the summer. But on top of that, Disney World can get busy with various rogue events, like runDisney races or cheerleading competitions. And now, we’ve got a warning about an upcoming weekend!
Crowds in Disney World surge during expected times like holidays, spring break, and summer, but there are other times of the year you may be caught off guard by the crowds.
Many times this is due to special events happening somewhere in the resort, such as runDisney events around the parks, but many large sports competition companies also host their yearly events at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports complex and/or Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort & Convention Center, drawing in massive crowds. Two of those events are coming up soon and are happening on THE SAME weekend.
It’s always a good day to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, right? While any day in Disney World is probably gonna be more exciting than a day spent NOT in Disney World, there are definitely some “good,” “better,” and “best” days to visit Hollywood Studios.
