It’s no secret that we love The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn. It’s just one of those super special places in Disney World where you can have a fancy meal and an even fancier slice of cake.

That’s because Disneyland’s annual Season of the Force, a celebration of all things Star Wars, has officially kicked off and will run through May 11th. Now, we’ve already told you a little bit about this year’s celebration, like what kind of special food and drinks will be offered, as well as shown off that GORGEOUS Death Star popcorn bucket. But we want to fill you in on everything ELSE that’s happening in Disneyland during this special season.

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland
Season of the Force has officially kicked off in Disneyland and will run through May 11th. That means we’ll be experiencing all kinds of new Star Wars things, as well as all kinds of new food (OUR FAVORITE THING). There will also be some new merchandise, but we think the absolute coolest Star Wars souvenir we’ve seen so far might be Disney’s new popcorn bucket. You see, this IS the popcorn bucket you’ve been looking for because it looks like the Death Star.
Okay, imagine this…it’s the end of a day in the parks at Disney World and you feel so tired you can barely drag yourself back from Disney transportation to your hotel room.

A BIG celebration is kicking off in Disney World.

The Disney Dreamers Academy has returned to Disney World this year! This four-day event is a mentorship program for black teens from underrepresented communities to inspire them to follow their dreams, much like Walt Disney did. The event includes celebrity appearances, upbeat music, and more! Not only that, but participants also get to participate in a very special parade in Magic Kingdom that we only get to see once a year.

One thing we always stress is how important it is to stay hydrated — it gets hot and humid in Florida, and summer is NO JOKE. That’s why we recommend keeping a water bottle handy (which you can refill throughout the parks at water bottle refill stations). So, as you may know, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will be expanding thanks to Epic Universe, when The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic opens with the new park. However, let’s take it back to the ORIGINAL Wizarding World park, Universal Islands of Adventure. One of the first Harry Potter rides (and still one of the more popular rides in the park) will be closing soon. Yep, we’re talking about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.
