Hello, DFB Friends! We’re enjoying both Halloween and the 50th Anniversary Celebration at Disney World these days.

So while we’ve been eating our way around all the 50th celebration snacks AND the Halloween snacks, we’ve also been keeping an eye on restaurant menus at Disney World. And although there aren’t a LOT of updates this week, we’ve still got a few.
If you’re headed to Disney World for the holidays, you’re in for a real treat!

Not only will the parks be sporting their holiday decorations (one park got started a little early!), but you’ll also have the opportunity to get tickets to Mickey’s Very Merriest After Hours, indulge in food and fun at the EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays, and shop for holiday merchandise.
We’ve got 18 months to celebrate Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and what a party it’s been so far!

We’ve been enjoying seeing all of the golden statues in the parks, the great new decor, and — of course — eating ALL of the new foods! We’ve also been checking out tons of fun merchandise that has dropped in honor of the big celebration, and today we found one that is taking us waaaaay back!
After over a year, Disney Cruise Line is sailing again. The Disney Dream, Disney Wonder, and Disney Fantasy have once more taken to the open seas.

Guests going on cruises, though, will notice that some things have changed onboard due to the global health crisis, including updates that have been made to dining and character experiences. Now, a new policy change has been made when it comes to unvaccinated children.
We don’t know if you’re like us, but we love hunting down Hidden Mickeys! And well, we look for Hidden Mickeys everywhere (and not just at Disney Parks, because, well, maybe we’re obsessed!).

So we get super excited anytime we spot a new one. And lately, we’ve seen some pretty cool Hidden Mickeys, including on ice cream cones (no, really!!!), on small areas on rides, on tires, in drawings, and more! It’s just so much fun doing our own scavenger hunt as we look for these tiny, yet incredible, details that Imagineers have added to Disney World. Our latest Hidden Mickey can only be seen from the SKY!
We really missed the Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom when it was closed for refurbishment.

But now that it has reopened, we’ve been able to check out its new look, new treats, and new customizable popcorn option! There are also some great details outside and throughout the space, telling a bit more about the spot’s backstory.
Okay, we know it’s still Halloween season, but Halloween itself is only a few weeks away which means that the holidays are A LOT CLOSER THAN YOU THINK!
EPCOT Festival of the Holidays
Disney World has already released a ton of details about what we can expect this holiday season, including loads of new details about EPCOT’s 2021 Festival of the Holidays. So far, we’ve learned all about the food booths, entertainment, activities, and more! But what about merchandise?
We love getting to go to Disney World every day, and we love spotting new merchandise when it becomes available.

So you can imagine our excitement when the 50th Anniversary Mickey Mouse Popcorn Bucket turned up today, just about two weeks after the official start of the celebrations! And Mickey was VERY happy to be out and about at the theme parks — so much that he decided to take a tour around the resort!
Can you believe Halloween is only a few weeks away? We are so excited for the spookiest day of the year!

We are always impressed by so much of what happens at Disney World. From the Imagineering that goes into creating amazing rides (have you even been on Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure yet?) to all the little details that most people don’t even notice that just adds extra detail to the magic, it’s no wonder that many of us refer to Disney World as our happy place.
We love all the details!
