From miles of beaches to several theme parks, the state brings in a ton of people for vacations. The global pandemic had a big impact on tourism in Florida last year, but since then, numbers have started to recover. And now, Florida tourism is WAY up compared to last year.

New Castle Sign!
We’ve seen a new design completed for Cinderella Castle, FastPass+ is no longer available, Extended Evening Hours are about to be available for select Disney hotel guests, and masks are back to being required indoors for everyone. One thing that changed last year was Disney no longer giving you free MagicBands if you were staying at a Disney hotel. SO much is happening for the big celebration — a new fireworks show in Magic Kingdom, golden character statues around the parks, more EPCOT Food and Wine Festival booths opening, a brand new ride opening, a ton of new merchandise, and more! We’re slowly seeing Disney gear up for the big day, and we just spotted a NEW addition on our visit to Magic Kingdom today!

Lobster Landing is a seafood lovers dream
The 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World is coming up soon but EPCOT opened up some more festival booths for us to enjoy early! Several of them are BRAND NEW, so you know we had to get to the World Showcase ASAP to check them out for you! And one of these new booths is a lobster lover’s DREAM!

International Food and Wine Festival
We woke up to a VERY nice surprise today! Some EPCOT Food and Wine booths that were not supposed to open until October 1st on Disney World’s 50th anniversary, decided to open today! So of course, we’re celebrating early by grabbing some food! The festival started back in July, so we’ve been eagerly awaiting the opening of these booths. One of those is a returning favorite — Spain!

Halloween decorations are up, the first BOO Bash After Hours event was this past week, and Disney is getting all geared up for the 50th anniversary! The Holiday Season Will Be Here Before You Know It!
Although there will be no Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, there WILL be an After Hours event! And Disney just announced a ton of details about it! It’s called Disney Very Merriest After Hours and guess what? “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” is BACK!!
When Disney World reopened last summer after the closures, many things did not return with it.
FastPass Kiosks Closed
Things like FastPass+, the Disney Dining Plan, and Extra Magic Hours were stopped, some indefinitely. Disney announced earlier this summer that a version of Extra Magic Hours would be coming back — Extended Evening Hours. The two are similar, but have some major differences. For example, while Extra Magic Hours were available to all Disney World hotel guests, Extended Evening Hours can only be used by guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts. We already have some of the dates for the extended hours in October, but we just got even MORE!
