Summertime is about to be BIG at Disney World!
Disney just made a ton of new announcements about what we can expect during this year’s “Cool Kid Summer,” which runs from May 27th to September 1st, and there’s something to experience in every single park. Don’t worry, we’re breaking it all down here so you’re prepared and know what to expect!
Magic Kingdom
There are TWO new DJ-led dance parties happening in Magic Kingdom this summer — the first will be over at Storybook Circus, and kids can enjoy dancing to their favorite tunes, as well as marvel at the stilt walkers and jugglers performing!
Then, over in Tomorrowland, you can join Stitch at the Rocket Tower Plaza Stage to jam out, then head into the Merchant of Venus store nearby for a craft inspired by the upcoming film Elio.
You don’t have to plan your Disney World trip alone! Reach out to our friends over atĀ Small World VacationsĀ to take the stress out of planning. Oh, and their services are totally FREE.
EPCOT
CommuniCore Hall is closing for a limited time this month to reopen as GoofyCore at CommuniCore Hall on May 27th! Kids can dance along with the DJ’s tunes, while also participating in fun games like Loopy Limbo and Parachutes ānā Pipsqueaks.
CommuniCore Hall will be closed for this transformation from May 12th to 26th. If you’re visiting the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival during this time, the Farmers Feast booth’s offerings are planned to move outside to the Florida Fresh booth.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Over at Animation Courtyard, your kiddo can marvel at magicians, jump rope extraordinaires, and even see some special character appearances!Ā
Don’t forget about the new “The Little Mermaid ā A Musical Adventure” show opening in the area on May 27th, the same day “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” will open over on Sunset Boulevard!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Animal Kingdom has THREE new offerings to celebrate! You can find crafting activities over at Rafikiās Planet Watch, unlock a new, special, limited-time Wilderness Explorer badge, and join in at the interactive sing-along with the Dino Institute Intern, complete with songs, stories, and so much more.
But there’s even MORE! In regard to tickets and booking Disney World hotel stays, staying at Disney Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge will give you opportunities to see special characters at planned times of day, as well as explore even more Disney-themed activities.

If this is what passes for BIG in the way of announcements, Iām thinking to drop one park day at WDW and add another at Universal.
