When you go to Disney World, we’re sure you’re making plans for your visit to the theme parks (and maybe even the water parks, too, since that IS a Disney World hotel perk now). You might not even be THINKING about the things you can do at your hotel, though.
See, here’s the deal: Disney World hotels have activities of their own, and some of them are SO worth your time. One of those activities involves making S’mores — and nearly every hotel offers this, but we just got the S’mores Kit at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground from The Chuck Wagon, and it’s the only way we want to end our Disney World evenings from now on.
So the campfire at Fort Wilderness was getting ready to start, and so, we HAD to grab the S’mores Kit for $9.99, which gives you everything you need for s’mores PLUS two roasting sticks. If you’re with a large group of people and everyone wants their own stick, you can purchase them separately for 63 cents each.
This is such a good deal because you get a TON of marshmallows, plenty of graham crackers, and two full-size chocolate bars. So there are plenty of ingredients here for a group of people. It’s also just fun. Who doesn’t love roasting marshmallows by a campfire?
Yes, other resorts offer complimentary marshmallows (just one, though), so we have to note that Fort Wilderness does not. However, with this purchase, you get to roast your marshmallows, make s’mores, and even attend the Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Sing-A-Long later in the evening. SO MUCH FUN. Overall, the experience is…well…magical.

The sing-a-long is really fun, and you can bring your own s’mores gear. I sometimes see this event billed as a meet & greet. It’s not really that, or at least as recently as 2024 it wasn’t. You can get some great photos, and it is an amazing free (depending on s’mores) event that is a really special, very classic DIsney way to end the day (or take a break before heading back for more). But you’ll be unlikely to get M&G style photos with Chip and Dale.
Based on the title, I thought this article might be about the Segway tour. I was going to say that the Segway tour is really not for the utter Segway novice, and if you are a novice, PLEASE arrive early to practice. Riders are made to ride in single lines (which is fine), but riders who don’t keep up are in danger of being kicked off the tour. We have been behind very timid riders and more than once had the CMs tell us that if we didn’t keep up, we would have to leave the tour. We explained that we are fairly experienced riders and the people in front of us were going very slowly. We were as close behind them as we dared to get, given their visible inexperience. Luckily, we weren’t kicked out, but I do know for a fact it does happen.
