A brand-new construction project has begun at Orlando International Airport (MCO).
In a post on the airport’s official Facebook page, the Orlando Airport announced that construction is underway for a NEW project: moving walkways are coming to Terminal C.
The Orlando Airport’s website goes into further detail on construction, explaining that currently, a set of moving walkways are being constructed between the TSA security checkpoint and the Palm Court. The new walkways will rise about 15 inches from the floor and have an approximate length of 80 feet – from checkpoint to Palm Court. This section of the airport is known to host a lot of one-way pedestrian traffic, so this could really help with the flow of crowds.
Furthermore, a further pair of walkways are being built inside the Pedestrian Bridge (the air-elevated walkway that will connect Terminal C to the Terminal Link, Parking Garage C, and Train Station), which is scheduled to open in late Spring 2025. According to the Airport, these additions “will help those with limited mobility to more easily navigate Terminal C.”
The construction comes at a time of transition for the airport. Despite MCO being loaded with heavy Spring Break crowds, MCO is in the middle of a massive expansion project that will see more than 40 restaurants and stores added to the airport over the next few years.

I don’t like Terminal C.
So much walking!
I miss taking the monorail and being welcomed by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.
I miss going through the hotel to baggage claim…
I literally no longer fly Jet Blue and one of the many reasons why I don’t is that they fly into terminal C.
