OMG DFB thank you for keeping us updated. I just called and saved $1225.04!!!!!!!!
Amazing so excited. ?
This Deal is pretty much an example of current WDW
Too Little. Too Late
So I have a question, I booked a vacation club rental through davids vacation club rentals. Could I qualify for the free dining plan?
We are headed to WDW in July. We were able get the discounted room rates for the Polynesian for our stay. I don’t think Disney would give us the dining plan as well (although, it would be amazing if they did). Most likely an either – or deal.
Not sure if the free dining plan would outweigh the discount on the room.
UPDATE:
So….. as I had figured, it is one or the other. However, taking the free dining plan over the discounted room rate actually ended up saving us just about $1k; so it definitely worked out for our clan.
Other folks’ mileage may vary.

From Google AI:
“Yes, if you rent Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points, you can purchase a dining plan, but the DVC owner who booked the reservation needs to add it, and you cannot add it yourself through My Disney Experience.
Here’s a more detailed explanation:
DVC Owner’s Responsibility:
The DVC owner who booked the reservation using their points is responsible for adding the dining plan.
Cannot Add Yourself:
As a renter, you cannot add the dining plan to the reservation yourself through My Disney Experience.
Contact the DVC Owner:
You’ll need to contact the DVC owner and request that they add the dining plan to the reservation.
Payment:
The DVC owner will need to pay for the dining plan when they add it to the reservation.
Dining Plan Options:
You can choose either the Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan or the full Disney Dining Plan.
Dining Reservations:
Once the dining plan is added, you can make your dining reservations as usual.
Check with Rental Provider:
If you are renting points through a third party, check with them to see if they will handle the dining plan purchase or if you need to contact the DVC owner directly.
Must be added before arrival:
Dining plans cannot be added at check-in and must be purchased at least 48 hours prior to check-in.”
Do you think this deal will eventually be offered to the general public? If so, is it usually right away? Hoping to add it to my reservations.
