We love telling you our favorite restaurants at Disney World to help you find the best ones for your family.

Wilderness Lodge
While it might seem inconvenient to try a Disney World restaurant that is located at a hotel you might not be staying out, we’re going to let you in on a secret– some of the best restaurants are at hotels! That’s right, with a little bit of time and planning, it is worth heading to these spots for a delicious meal. Today, we’re giving you our top Disney World hotel restaurants!
The Best Character Dining Meal
We here at DFB can’t say enough good things about Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge. This prix-fixe dining experience takes place in an enchanted forest setting, and offers each guest their choice of an individually plated entree, along with shared appetizers and desserts for the whole table. Each course item is themed to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. This is perfect because you’ll get the chance to MEET Snow White, Grumpy, Dopey, AND the Evil Queen during your meal. But don’t be discouraged by it being a character meal!

Artist Point
We know that some character meals mean low-quality food, but that’s just not true here! Storybook Dining knocks it out of the park as far as both character meals and prix fixe menus go – but make sure to get reservations for this one as soon as possible since you can only eat here during dinner. We love that families with kids and even Disney couples will love this place!

The Fanciest Disney World Hotel Restaurant
The award-winning Victoria & Albert’s at the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is the most exclusive restaurant in all of Disney World. It has not only been recognized by the Michelin Guide but has also won the prestigious AAA Five Diamond Award. The restaurant offers a main dining room, a Chef’s Table, which is located in the kitchen, and a Queen Victoria Room which is also exclusive!

Pricing depends on what area you choose to sit in, but expect to pay, at minimum $295+ per guest. Yes, it is very expensive, but the multi-hour dining experience might be more than worth it for you.
We consider dining here a whole experience, it’s not just a place to grab a bite to eat. Note that reservations are very difficult to find, although not impossible. Kids under the age of 10 are also not allowed to dine here.

The Most Unique Disney Hotel Restaurant
Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge has been a DFB favorite for years and years and we never leave disappointed. The atmosphere is wonderful as you will get a view of the savannah and the animals that live here. As for the African-inspired food? It definitely makes traveling to Animal Kingdom Lodge WORTH the trip.

Sanaa
If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, Sanaa only requires one meal credit, which feels like a steal! This restaurant menu is on the adventurous side so it might not be for everyone. But if you’re looking for something unique at Disney World, this is it!

The Best Steakhouse at a Disney World Restaurant
Steakhouse 71 at the Contemporary Resort offers casual dining for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The prices are reasonable, the food is superb, and the theming takes us back in time since it’s all a tribute to the year “1971,” which just so happens to be the opening year of Magic Kingdom.

Steakhouse 71
The steakhouse menu is only available for dinner, but don’t let that stop you from heading here for breakfast or lunch! We also love that it is within walking distance from Magic Kingdom as there aren’t many sit-down restaurant options there.

What is your favorite restaurant to eat at a Disney World hotel? Let us know your thoughts below!
Do you have the rest? I think that was Wilderness Lodge, Animal Kingdom lodge, Grand Floridian and the Contemporary. Any others? Haven’t been to Steakhouse yet. I miss the original Artists point.??
I agree with all of your recommendations and have dined at all, but I think we can do better than Steakhouse 71. Was not blown away when I ate there. All of the others on your list have a unique feature, 71 is just a table.
We have been eating at Steakhouse 71 for years since it was the Wave Although the food is still good the atmosphere has deteriorated. This was a special occasion date night type restaurant Now it’s a place people bring their young children and let them run around the table, make tents out of napkins, and eat out of hands while parents scroll on their phones.
If you are on vacation with your kids eat at a kids place. Don’t ruin a great restaurant If you eat at a place geared toward children you won’t get bored with your kids and feel the need to scroll on your phone.
We haven’t eaten at Artist Point in a number of years. We loved it a number of years ago when it had a Pacific Northwest / InterMountain vibe. We will try it based upon your recommendation during a future WDW visit. (Who doesn’t love the Wilderness Lodge?)
I would add California Grill at the Contemporary to your list along with Flying Fish on the Boardwalk and Schula’s Steakhouse at the Dolphin, although the Dolphin is not technically a WDW resort; it’s more of a pseudo-WDW resort.
I appreciate you taking one for the team and trying out all the WDW restaurants and menu changes. It’s a tough assignment, but somebody has to do it. Thank you.
Sorry but i must disagree on the Steakhouse.
The Yachtman Steak House is by far the best!
From the menu to the Prime Steaks . . . there really is no match.
