Let’s talk about Disney World packing necessities!

There are lots of things to love about the parks like our favorite restaurants, new rides coming to the parks, and fun entertainment! Enjoying the parks sometimes takes planning and the right tools in your arsenal. One of those tools? The right poncho!
One thing you can bet on is a bit of rain in Disney World. Sometimes it rains all day, sometimes it only rains for 10 minutes. It’s not always possible to predect the rain storms but it’s a safe bet to assume you’ll need rain gear. We like to test products so we know if they’re worth the money are not and the latest product in the testing lab is the cheapest poncho on Amazon.

This poncho was pretty thin and not easily resuable but it was easy to toss into our bags thanks to the small size. For what it is, it serves its purpose but without changing the material drastically. There’s no good way to repackage and repurpose (especially when its wet) and you’ll need your own bag to pack it into after use to keep from getting all of your belongings wet.

If you’re looking for something to keep you dry on your trip, this one does okay! It’s a good thing to keep in your bag when you’re in a pinch in a Disney World rain storm and, thanks to the low price, you can toss it once it’s used. Would it be our number one choice? Not necessarily.

While the cheapest poncho did okay (and can work in a pinch), nothing has beat our love for Frogg Togg ponchos! The quality is stronger and it’s thicker in the best ways. It’s easy to remove from the packaging and has a great water resistencey.

It’s also easy to repack and reuse once you use it! The same as the GEDOX poncho, this is a necessity for your Disney World trip. If you’re willing to spend a bit more, you can reuse this in and out of the parks. When it comes to Disney World must haves, this one is high on our list.

The sleeves must be bunched around the wrist! Those are the best ponchos. Keeps the rain out and you can quickly slide a cell phone in you sleeve.
