Mark your calendars — an ICONIC Disney California Adventure is discontinuing service PERMANENTLY this weekend.

After nearly 13 years of service up and down parts of Disney California Adventure, Red Car Trolley is closing for good this Sunday, February 9th, 2025. The last day to get a ride in is February 8th before the attraction gives way for some BRAND-NEW rides.
Red Car Trolley has been taking passengers on a battery-powered journey to various stops on Buena Vista Street, Carthay Circle, Hollywood Boulevard, and Sunset Boulevard over the years and has been an iconic staple of the park. The two cars were both styled after Los Angeles Pacific Electric trolley cars from the early-to-mid 1900s with overhead cables and trolley poles meant to pay homage to the legendary Southern California transportation system.

The decision to end the ride’s service is a direct result of Disney closing the Red Car Trolley barn in anticipation of the highly-anticipated Avengers Campus expansion.

The newly expanded land was announced at last year’s D23 Expo where it was revealed that the land would double in size while adding two new rides: Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab.
Construction on the expansion officially began last month when Disneyland closed Timon parking lot to make way for new land space.

I am sorry to see the Red Car Trolly being removed; won’t be the same without it:-(
Sad to see it go, but I’ll live. They should bring it to Hollywood Studios, set some track and call it good. Go from the entrance to between the Brown Derby and Mann’s Chinese Theatre and T off to Tower of Terror.
I’m not into Marvel and the Avengers, so that area is kind of a waste for me. But I’m excited to see what they are going to do!
