Consumers are about to have even more options when traveling to Orlando International Airport (MCO)!

Orlando International Airport Terminal C
We’re constantly looking for the latest news from airlines and airports to help you stay informed about potential delays and alternatives to your typical travels. According to the latest report from the Orlando Business Journal, multiple airlines are adding more travel routes in an effort to make getting to MCO more accessible than ever before.
Flying to Orlando (and by extension Disney World) may be easier for you very soon. 22 new additional flights are already in place to debut as routes to MCO over the new year in 2025. The Orlando International Airport and its airline partners will begin rolling out new routes throughout 2025 which will include first-time flights to several U.S. cities and a few international destinations like Germany and France.

The uptick in new routes comes as a result of the exponential growth MCO has seen in recent years which has also earned it the seventh-largest airport in the U.S. Most recently, MCO has expanded a third Terminal to the airport, Terminal C, with plans of further expansion in the near future.

Let’s take a look at when we can expect to see these new routes debut at MCO and with their corresponding airlines:
In January, look for Alaska Airlines to run new destinations from MCO to Boise, Idaho, and Sacramento, California, operating on a seasonal service schedule. Boise, ID is expected to run from January 7th-March 25th, while Sacramento, CA flights will run from January 6th-April 21st. Additionally, JetBlue will begin flights to Manchester, New Hampshire, beginning on January 23rd.

Our second international change is anticipated to begin in May with Air France restarting service in Orlando for the first time since 2012 with flights to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport. The target to begin flying is by May 21st however, this is still subject to government approval.

August is when we’ll see the last of the current plans for new flights to roll out when Southwest Airlines plans to launch service beginning August 5th to Fort Myers, Los Angeles, West Palm Beach, Miami, and Sarasota.

Let’s fly!
As you can see, MCO is gearing up to be an even busier airport even with the expansion to allow for more passengers to fly more frequently. If you’re planning on flying into Orlando as these new routes are set to begin, it’s important to remember to be patient, anticipate delays, pack efficiently, and stay updated with your trusted airline company for potential delays and changes.
As always, we’ll be keeping you informed of any changes that may be announced as these new routes begin but we are excited to see so many new flights coming so soon!
