Choosing to fly to Disney World can be overwhelming, given all the options and connecting flights. It wasn’t too long ago that we announced a few new nonstop flight options arriving at MCO, plus a few new airlines looking to call Orlando International Airport home. Now, Southwest Airlines announced even MORE nonstop flights are on their way to connect you to Orlando faster!
Southwest Airlines is making it even easier to fly to Orlando. Orlando International Airport announced on Twitter that new nonstop routes are coming starting today, July 15th, 2023.
Our friends @SouthwestAir are coming in hot with these routes and we're here for it! Starting tomorrow, July 15th, they will offer nonstop service to:
✈️ Albuquerque, New Mexico
✈️ Boston, Massachusetts
✈️ Long Beach, California

The new routes will help connect 3 new destinations — Albuquerque, New Mexico; Boston, Massachusetts; and Long Beach, California through nonstop flights to Orlando’s main airport. This announcement may give visitors a new option when booking a flight to Orlando.
Note that we haven’t seen any nonstop flights from Boston to MCO pop up on Southwest’s website yet, but there are several flights that have a stop but don’t require you to change planes. It’s possible that Southwest is still working on getting the new flights updated in the system, though.

Orlando International Airport
Oh, and in case you missed it, Mears Connect and the Sunshine Flyer recently announced that they entered into an agreement to merge their services into ONE combined service that will transport guests from the Orlando International Airport to Disney World’s hotels. This is BIG news for those looking for airport transportation to Disney World.
