If you’ve never taken your kids to Disney World, it can feel overwhelming. If you have taken your kids, you might have had a not-so-magical experience.

Main Street USA
While there are a lot of things for kids to do at Disney World, it can be hard knowing how your kids will handle the hot days, big crowds, and long lines. Taking kids at any age has its pros and cons. Even the best-behaved kids — even adults, can end up complaining. But we have a BIG tip that can help you avoid a ruined Disney World vacation.
You could get Genie+ to help you cut down on wait times, which could help your kids from standing in long lines. But there is still the issue of having them walk miles and miles around the parks. Or worse — you have to carry them for miles and miles. The solution? Strollers.

Disney World Strollers
STROLLERS save the day at Disney World. Even if your kids have outgrown a stroller, they probably haven’t outgrown one at Disney World because there is so much walking. If you didn’t bring one with you to the parks, don’t worry. You can actually rent them from Disney. And if you didn’t rent a stroller in the morning, when your kids end up having a melting down, you can go rent one mid-day. We’re here to walk you through the stroller rental process to help save your next trip.

Strollers
First, let’s talk about where to get a stroller! Typically, Disney’s stroller rental locations are near the front entrance of the parks. You can check a map or use the My Disney Experience app for exact locations (or ask a Cast Member). Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, and Hollywood Studios each have one central stroller rental location, but EPCOT offers two separate rental locations at each entrance.

Stroller Rental at Hollywood Studios
Disney offers two types of strollers: single strollers (recommended for children 50 lbs. or less) and double strollers (recommended for children 100 lbs. or less). If you decide to rent a single stroller, the price is $15 per day. For guests looking to rent a stroller for multiple days (or the length of their stay), the price goes down to $13 per day.

The single is on the left and the double is on the right
The double strollers are a little more expensive. The daily price is $31, or guests can purchase a Length of Stay rental ticket for multiple days for $27 per day. With a Length of Stay rental, you can pre-pay the number of days you plan on using a stroller to save a little money! Just show a Cast Member your receipt at the stroller rental location to receive your stroller for the day.

Disney Strollers
There is one important rule you need to consider when it comes to renting Disney-owned strollers, though. Your Disney stroller CAN NOT go everywhere that you go. This means that if you plan on visiting multiple parks in one day, you’ll have to return stroller #1 as you leave the first park, then pick up a new stroller at the next park. You won’t have to pay twice, though; just show a Cast Member your rental receipt at another park for a new stroller. This could be beneficial, because you won’t have to worry about folding up the stroller on a Disney bus or tram and putting it in your car just to do it all over again at the next park.

You do have to fold your strollers to get on a Disney bus
Additionally, Disney strollers never leave Disney parks. You can’t take the stroller to your resort, Disney Springs, or any of the water parks. Speaking of Disney Springs, a $100 credit card deposit is required for strollers rented at Disney Springs, so keep that in mind if you need a stroller outside the parks!

Disney Springs Lime Garage
At the parks, while you can’t take a stroller in line with you, you can park it outside of the attraction in the stroller parking areas. These typically have a cast member stationed at them to help move them to make room and to keep an eye on them. Pro tip: If you rent a stroller, bring something with you to help differentiate yours from other Disney strollers. We recommend a sign or ribbon, but not a balloon — those are not allowed inside of Animal Kingdom.
