Getting ready to cut it close on your mobile order arrival window?
Disney World’s My Disney Experience app is a wealth of insight and information. From the app, you can view current wait times, see where to meet characters, and even place a mobile order for various quick-service dining locations. When ordering your meal you also are asked to select an expected time for pick-up. But what happens when you don’t arrive during your expected time window?
On a recent visit to the Disney World parks, we had this very situation happen to us! We placed an order at a quick service location, and waited until it was time to say “I’m here”, but we may have accidentally waited too long.

Order times
On this particular occurrence, our arrival window ended at 11am and when we went to alert the app we were ready — at exactly 11 am — and have the location prepare our order…we realized we were too late!

However, we weren’t totally out of luck. We were able to recover our meal when we showed the cast members at the register our order number and they were able to manually fix it and went on to prepare our meal for pick up.

Breakfast Wrap
We’re wondering if this is just a one-off occurrence or if this could be a regular happening within the mobile order time windows. Admittedly, the item we ordered was only offered for the breakfast timeframe at this location so that could have been a factor in the mishap. A quick check with a few of our other reporters didn’t result in anyone else having a similar experience that stood out to them so it very well could be just that, but it’s definitely something to take note of for the next time you’re looking to use the mobile order feature on the app.

Your order is ready!
Our best advice to get around this is if you might be cutting it close to the window winding down, go into the mobile order and modify the time frame to give yourself a bit more time to click the “prepare my order” button so this doesn’t happen to you too!
