Florida is home to seemingly endless theme parks and attractions, from Disney World to Universal to Sea World, and more.
Fun Spot America Kissimmee is yet another Florida theme park that thrill-seekers and theme park lovers visit to experience its roller coasters and attractions. Fun Spot Kissimmee boasts a very unique roller coaster — the Mine Blower. Mine Blower is currently the only wooden roller coaster in Florida with a “Zero G Barrel Roll,” which is basically when the coaster track spirals 360º while cresting a hill on the track. Now, this coaster is going to change!
Mine Blower is about to get a serious upgrade, Fun Spot tells us. Fun Spot has teamed up with Rocky Mountain Construction (RMC) to enhance Mine Blower with RMC’s “208 ReTrack Solution,” which exchanges a traditional wood coaster track with a steel track for a smoother ride experience as well as maintenance reduction.
Fun Spot Atlanta already experienced the same coaster upgrade on their ArieForce One roller coaster, and Fun Spot America President and CEO John Arie Jr. spoke highly of RMC.
“To work with RMC and their 208 Re-Track Solution on Mine Blower is a game changer for our park,” Arie said. The goal is for the re-track project to be complete before the busy summer season and Fun Spot’s 25th anniversary celebration.

Replacing wood tracks with metal? Forget about it…I’ll pass.
Ooohhh thats sad, I was really looking forward to experiencing a wooden rollercoaster. That was the only reason I was going to get tickets for Fun Spot, to rise on a wooden coaster… I won’t bother now
