Easter is tomorrow (!!!!) and Disney World has rolled out a bunch of new experiences, merchandise and, of course, lots of new treats for the holiday. On top of all that, we even saw the Easter Bunny in the Magic Kingdom earlier this week!
Many of these Easter offerings have been available since the beginning of the month until the Easter holiday itself, but this treat from Disney’s Riviera Resort is only available for two days!
This Easter offering is the Strawberry Milk Chocolate Bunny! It’s a white chocolate bunny, filled with chocolate mousse and strawberry mousse, sitting on yellow cake with a white chocolate ribbon. Did we mention that it’s pink? It’s pretty cute!
The chocolate and strawberry mousse filling, though, is also quite tasty — it’s similar to a cheesecake filling, so it isn’t super sweet. Also, it’s made with REAL strawberries. The cake on the bottom is very tasty — the moist cake has just a hint of vanilla flavor. We liked the cake part so much, we kinda’ wish there were more of it!
But the best part might just be the ears! They’re actually made with raspberry chocolate, which was a nice surprise! Honestly, we would’ve eaten that part first if we’d known!
This dessert, though, does have a serious flaw: once we took it outside, it started melting — the ears and the ribbon around the cake were the first things to go, but the inside also lost its texture and turned into something like a strawberry chocolate soup. Pro tip: eat this one inside where there’s some air conditioning. You’ll thank us later.
The white chocolate part of the filling was also quite delicious — it reminded us of the chocolate pudding we loved as kids.
Overall, though, this is a fun dessert to try with some unique flavors! Just remember to eat it right away or keep it refrigerated for best results. You can get this Strawberry Milk Chocolate Bunny for $7.29 at Le Petit Cafe.
