Hello, DFB Readers!

The holiday treats have arrived!
As you may have seen, the holidays have landed at Disney World, and we are up to our ears in holiday decorations, merchandise, and snacks! But while we’re checking out all the new holiday offerings, we’re also keeping an eye on menus at Disney World restaurants because that’s what we do!
And we do have some menu updates to share with you this week, so let’s get to it!
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Hollywood Brown Derby
We haven’t made it a secret that we LOVE eating at The Hollywood Brown Derby, so we get a little nervous when we see menu changes there. But this one isn’t TOO serious: The Seafood Scallops are now served with Smoked Chipotle-glazed Pork Belly, Tomato Jam, Pea Tendrils.

The Hollywood Brown Derby
That’s it. That’s the update. Whew!

Monsieur Paul
There’s something strange going on with the menu at Monsieur Paul, a restaurant that has remained close since Disney World’s reopening. For a while, Disney World’s website had a menu link on Monsieur Paul’s restaurant that actually linked to the La Crêperie de Paris menu. But now, the link leads to Monsieur Paul’s menu, but it’s pretty bare right now. EVERY a la carte menu item is now gone.

Monsieur Paul Entrance
In its place? A single pre-fixe menu called Gastronomic Meal of the French for $175! Here’s what that meal includes:
- Cocktail Maison et Amuse-bouche — Amuse-bouche served with Monsieur Paul’s Cocktail
- Choice of First Course — Oxtail Broth with Braised Beef, Vegetables, and Black Winter Truffles covered in Puff Pasty or Poached Lobster served chilled over vegetables
- Choice of Second Course — Red Snapper in Potato “Scales,” Rosemary Sauce or Seared Scallops Bouillabaisse style
- Granite du Beaujolais — Beaujolais Sorbet
- Choice of Third Course — Beef Tenderloin, layered Potatoes and Bordelaise sauce or Chicken, Morel Cream Sauce, Spinach and Vegetables
- Fromages — French Artisan Cheeses
- Choice of Dessert — Meringue, Vanilla Ice Cream, Raspberry Sorbet, Vanilla Chantilly and Raspberry Coulis or Chocolate Almond Cake, Chocolate Cream, Hazelnut Biscuit, Chocolate Ice Cream, warm Chocolate & Cognac sauce

Magret de canard
Disney World has not announced an official opening date for Monsieur Paul, but we’ll let you know when we get more details!

The pre-fixe menu is easier for purchasing product for F&B venues. This likely aligns with the Disney efforts to find a way to control food costs. By having fewer options on the menu, fewer products need purchased with more buying power of those items because the volume is larger.
