Time to add another tally to the list of restaurants we get to welcome back from their lengthy closures!

Trail’s End Restaurant
Trail’s End Restaurant has reopened at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and we are READY to get our family-style eatin’ on. Trail’s End started serving family-style breakfast and dinner again today. Though we don’t get to reunite with our beloved fried chicken, we’re still pretty excited to eat some of this comfort food. Let’s take a first look at a reopened Trail’s End for dinner!Ā
When we arrived at Trail’s End, we checked in for our reservation using the Mobile Dine Check-in on the My Disney Experience app and soon enough, we were headed to our table.

At our table, we could scan a QR code to access the menuĀ or request paper menus from our server.

As we mentioned, dinner here is now served up FAMILY-STYLE as opposed to the buffet-style from prior to the closures. In general, we’ve considered the switch to family-style an improvement. Adults cost $29.99Ā and children costĀ $17.99,Ā which does not include add-ons or specialty drinks and alcohol.Ā As for drinks, Trail’s End has plenty of options like Non-Alcoholic Mocktails, Cocktails, Wine, Beer, and Bourbon. There was a cocktail menu on our table…

…which led us to order theĀ Gullywhumper for $14!This drink is made withĀ Ole Smoky White Lightnin’ Moonshine and Peach Schnapps with Pineapple and Cranberry Juices.

The salad comes with a cup ofĀ warm Bacon Vinaigrette!

Then, it’s time for the main course! The Smokehouse SkilletĀ features Pecan-smoked Brisket, Rotisserie Chicken Andouille, Fingerling Potatoes, Green Beansā, and Buttered Corn on the Cobā with Chipotle Barbecue and Carolina Mustard Barbecue Sauce. Basically, pack your eating pants.

Take a look at that skillet!
Finally, you’ll round out your meal with theĀ Covered Wagon Sundae ā a Load of Ice Cream, Toppings, Brownies, Cookies, and Chocolate-covered Bacon! Although the covered wagon is listed on the menu, the sundae comes in a cowboy hat which reminded us of the 10-Gallon Challenge!
