Things at Disney World’s parks all around the world are constantly changing, especially due to the ongoing situation with the COVID-19 pandemic.
Right now all of Disney’s theme parks around the world have reopened, except for Disneyland Paris, which remains closed at this time. While Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea are open, things will soon be changing a little bit there in response to some COVID-19 measures.
Recently, Tokyo Disney Resort announced that the park operating hours for both Tokyo Disneyland and Tokyo DisneySea will change soon. They noted that this is based on the “extension of priority measures to prevent the spread of New Coronavirus implemented by the Chiba Prefecture local government.”
Right now through May 16th, Toyko Disney Resort’s theme parks will be open from 9AM to 8PM. Starting May 17th, that will change to 10AM to 7PM. These modified hours will last through May 31st.
This is not the first time we’ve seen the parks reduce their hours in the past few months. Their recent announcement notes that theme park opening hours may vary by day though, so guests should check the Tokyo Disney Resort website for more details.
Sales of Early Entry tickets for guests staying at a Disney hotel will be suspended from May 17th through May 31st.
Tokyo Disney Resort has also issued an update regarding refunds on some tickets that were unused with fixed admission dates from July 1, 2021 through June 11, 2021. The website notes what ticket types are eligible for a refund or change, and also states that tickets that were purchased “or changed to a different fixed admission date, on or after May 11, 2021 will not be valid for a refund.”
They’ve also posted an update about the Park admission by lottery system. Specifically, the Tokyo Disney website now notes that if you’re not able to “visit the Park on the date of Park admission received in the lottery during the period when priority measures are in place to prevent the spread of New Coronavirus (from April 20 through May 31, 2021), then your next lottery attempt can be made from the month of scheduled visit in May (for June or July Park admissions).”
If you’ll be visiting Tokyo Disney Resort soon, these are important changes to keep in mind.
