We’ve had fun spending our days in EPCOT checking out everything at the Flower and Garden Festival.
In addition to the vibrant views, there are lots of tasty bites as you make your way around World Showcase. Today, we even found a new item to try at one of the festival booths!
Today we stopped by Farmers Feast, which is a booth located in the World ShowPlace building. It has a rotating menu, and earlier this week we stopped by to check out some of the new eats which included asparagus salad, lamb, and more. Today, there’s another new addition in the form of a cocktail, so of course, we had to give it a try!
The new drink is a strawberry slush with a splash of Palm Ridge Golden Wheat Whiskey. And, it’s garnished with basil leaves. This sounded refreshing, and for starters…it’s a pretty aesthetically pleasing drink to put on the ‘gram.
This drink was cool and refreshing as we predicted, which was perfect for a sunny Florida day.
We were a little disappointed that the “basil” part of the cocktail really only referred to the garnish sitting on top of the drink. These two flavors pair so nicely together, we were hoping to get a little more of that basil taste! It might’ve been better if they had muddled the basil (are you taking notes, Disney?).
The whiskey does pair really well with the slush — which had actual strawberries in it — and although this fruit can be sweet, there was a nice, crisp tartness to the overall drink.
This is a great warm-weather drink, especially if you’re not looking for anything too heavy. We especially think fruity drink fans will really enjoy this option. But give us MORE basil, please! If you’d like to try it yourself, you can grab it at Farmers Feast for $13. If the booth makes any more changes to its menu, we’ll be sure to let you know!
If you’re planning to attend Flower and Garden this spring, check out our festival faves!
