Thanks to Valentine’s Day, there are SO many new treats in Disney World!
Cupcakes, panna cottas, and even limited-time Dole Whips are gracing the menus of Disney restaurants this time of year, and since then, we’ve been eating our weight in heart-shaped sprinkles. Now, one of our favorite treats from last year’s Villains After Hours event has returned, and we’re thrilled to try it again for Valentine’s Day!
The Royal Majesty Cake Pop is BACK (kinda), but this time it’s at Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom, as well as various carts around the park.
The Royal Majesty got a makeover and isn’t a chocolate-covered strawberry cake pop anymore. This year, it’s a vanilla-flavored cake drop dipped in red icing and coated with sprinkles. And, talk about eating our weight in sprinkles — this is why!
Depending on where you get it, the cake may not come on a stick. Our cake “drop” from Main Street Bakery was served without a stick, but carts around the park are serving it as a cake pop! Honestly, this treat could be themed after the Evil Queen because we. are. collecting. these. hearts. Okay, enough swooning…onto how these little babies taste. Spoiler — VERY good!
The cake drop is a sweet delight to bite into, but it’s not the overly sweet cake flavor you might expect. And, biting through all that sugar gives you a little crunch mixed with your cake. The cake itself is pretty dense but, man, Disney knows how to make their cakes real moist. It packs a lot of flavor for just another vanilla cake and it makes us want to keep coming back!
Plus, this was a great portion! It’ll just about fit into the palm of your hand!
If you play your cards right, you’ll be able to snag this dessert for a limited time. It’s found around the park from February 12th-14th, and it’s $4.29. Stick around as we check out more of Disney World’s treats for the season of love, and stay tuned to DFB for the latest in Disney Parks news and reviews!
