It looks like we’ll have to wait a little bit longer for our next ride on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover.
The PeopleMover has remained closed since the Magic Kingdom reopened in July. And while the Disney World refurbishment calendar initially indicated that this closure would last through October, the refurbishment length has since been extended.
And now, it looks like the scheduled refurbishment of the PeopleMover has been extended even further.
We spoke with a Cast Member through the Disney World online chat feature who confirmed that the PeopleMover refurbishment has now been extended to December 26th.
We recently spotted a permit for work on the PeopleMover, so we’ll continue to keep an eye out for any updates on this attraction!
Here’s when Frozen Ever After will be closing for refurbishment in EPCOT!

Are they making it wheelchair accessible?
Tobi, no word on this.
Hmmm, I was not aware it was not wheelchair accessible…
If they could install a foot massager on the floor of the seats, that would be AWESOME!!! (Wink!)
RIP peoplemover
I would love to see it extended into the Tron building too but I’m sure that’s asking too much. I know it’s iconic but it’s also one of my favorite along with carasel of progress
We are pass holders and we look forward to riding the People Mover every time we visit the Magic Kingdom.
