Throughout Labor Day weekend, we’ve seen Disney parks hit their capacity limits and we even got a first-hand look at the crowds in Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Today, we made our way over to Magic Kingdom to see what the crowds were like over there. Come along with us on a journey to the Most Magical Place on Earth on a rather busy weekend!
As we were heading from the Ticket and Transportation Center over to Magic Kingdom, we noticed some crowds by the entrance…
…and ticket areas.
The busses to Magic Kingdom were running, however, so we made our way over there instead of taking the Monorail or Ferry.
We found that the bus area was very empty! So, if the busses from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Magic Kingdom are running, we’d recommend that you head over there and see if the lines are low. You may find that there are no lines and you’ll be on your way to Peter Pan’s Flight in no time!
At the entrance to Magic Kingdom, we spotted more crowds, but they were all spread out by the social distancing markers.
As we stepped under the train station, there were definitely some crowds around us, but there was also quite a bit of space. Once you hit the central part of Main Street, U.S.A., you could see the crowds get a bit thicker.

You just had to maneuver your way around.
Over at Sleepy Hollow, there were LOTS of people who were just dying to get their hands on a Madame Leota Sipper Cup!

This area is just a bit tricky since there’s typically a large number of guests waiting for attractions that are all fairly close to each other and the walkways are a bit more narrow.

In some of the areas near Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, we definitely saw crowds, but there were also pockets of open space.
As we went further into New Fantasyland, the crowds were even more spread out, and there was plenty of walking space.
Over in Tomorrowland, the queue at Space Mountain went well out the door, but there were stanchions and markers indicating where guests should stand to maintain social distancing.
By Cinderella Castle, we found quite a lot of space.
We had just seen a small cavalcade pass by. It’s always fun to say hello to Tink!

Overall, there were definitely large crowds in certain areas of the parks, but pockets of space or even wide open areas in other parts. It’s possible to keep your distance from others, but you may find places where crowds are heavier, so you’ll just want to keep that in mind. Be sure to check out our Twitter for more photo and video updates from our time in the park. We’ll continue to keep you updated throughout the day on the latest Disney news!
